Gosselin was seen leaving a bar at 2AM intoxicated and referring to the mystery woman as "Babe". He later went on record to say that the woman was just a friend that he was spending time with.
"However, being out with them late at night showed poor judgment on my part.
What makes me sick is that my careless behavior has put my family in this
uncomfortable position. My family is the most important thing in my life and it
kills me that these allegations have hurt them,"said Jon Gosselin.
I completely understand for a man to have friends but when you're married leaving a bar that late with any female is inappropriate. Whether he was truly cheating or not I do not know but considering his past allegations with other women, this really wasn't a wise night out.
Also if you really do want to factor in the point of him being a televised dad this really looks bad. When you are a father, especially one of eight, and you have a night out like this America is going to ask the question: "Why weren't you at home with your children?" or better yet your wife,Kate?! A stumbling drunk father with another woman isn't a good look for any family.
I mean come on Jon you have got to be way smarter than this if you want people to actually believe your marriage isn't falling apart as you say it isn't. It's bad enough that he already expressed not wanting to continue the series and his silent absence from the family's house a season ago.
I really hope that Jon and Kate can get it together and not just because they are a comical family to watch but because they have a whole litter of children.Whether the show continues or not their marriage is much needed for the lives of their eight kiddies.
For the most part, when males watch this show, they don't understand why Kate 'mistreats' Jon and orders him around when it comes to the kids. Jon understands that they balance each other out, but in the end, Jon seems to be a kid at heart. When news of this broke out, one of my male professors was quick to point out Kate is a "b****" and therefore, Jon's actions were not surprising.
ReplyDeleteI understand your point about how bad it looks for Jon in terms of his situation. If it was just a boys' night out and Jon went home right afterward, it wouldn't be so bad. Parents need a break just as much as their children in order to stay rejuvenated and not stressed out. While I'm not advocating cheating on your spouse, Jon should've at least done so in private and not been caught on camera; years later, your kids will be able to pull such news and videos up on YouTube. How do you think that'll make them feel about their father and their mother? Like you said, in the end, it boils down to the eight kids' lives. Until then, I hope Jon straightens up his act and keeps tending to the twins and the sextuplets.
